Hello!

My name is Zoey Zachek, the owner and creator! You may be wondering who I am and what I do, so I’m here to tell you!

I am a senior attending Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. I am majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in music, psychology, social activism, and most recently…art! I am the photography intern on campus and while I have always had a fascination with photography, I only began my educational and professional journey with it within this past year!

When not taking pictures, I can be found around campus being a tour guide, singing in choir or vocal jazz, in the darkroom, and who knows what else! Additionally, I love exploring Fargo-Moorhead…whether it be getting boba or stumbling into a new thrift store, the possibilities are endless!

I am originally from St. Louis Park, Minnesota so it was definitely an adjustment moving up north (the wind!!?), but I have grown to love this area. You wouldn’t think it, but Fargo has an incredibly vibrant artist community. I have come to meet muralists, photographers, graphic designers, painters, musicians, and so many other disciplines! This area has been the perfect place for me to get on my feet as a budding photographer still in college. 

There are quite a few things I would like to pursue in the future. While photography is definitely one that I have the most fun with, I am extremely interested in strategic communication careers where I can pursue research and public relations. The problem-solving aspect is something that excites me, and I heavily enjoy working with a team to try to create the best outcome - no matter what the goal might be! The ideal workplace would let me work in a collaborative and creative space, with opportunities to use my photography skills when appropriate!
